Pre/Post Care - Brows

Some diagnosed conditions may be waived with an official written approval from your doctor stating that you may receive permanent brow tattoo/ microblading. 

PLEASE NOTE: We have the right to deny service to anyone at our discretion. Failure to provide a requested doctors clearance will result in termination of the appointment and will be charged a rescheduling fee. 

  • Pregnant or nursing

  • Diabetic

  • Sick (COVID, cold, flu, etc)

  • Viral infections/ diseases

  • Recently had surgery or an organ transplant

  • Heart condition or pacemaker

  • Active shingles

  • Transmittable blood conditions (HIV or Hepatitis)

  • Uncontrolled high blood pressure

  • Taking blood thinners

  • Auto immune disease

  • Cancer or chemotherapy

  • Easily keloids or scars

  • Epilepsy

  • Seborrheic dermatitis

  • Skin irritations or psoriasis near the treated area (rash, acne, blisters, eczema, sunburn etc.)

  • Allergies to anesthetic (epinephrine or lidocaine)

  • Used Accutane in the past year

  • Used Tretinoin in the past 4 months

  • Taken Doxycycline in the past 6 months 

  • Recently been on steroids or antibiotics 

  • Had Botox in the past 2 months

  • Extremely oily or problematic skin

  • Received a chemical peel or laser treatments

PRE CARE

In order for your new brows to heal properly and look their best the Pre Care instructions found below are an ABSOLUTE MUST and are designed to help limit bleeding and skin sensitivities. Excessing bleeding will dilute the pigment color and lead to poor results. Please be sure to drink lots of water and get plenty of rest. 

  • 48 Hours Prior to Appointment

    • No Exercising

    • No Alcohol 

    • No Caffine (coffee, decaf drinks, energy drinks or caffeinated tea)

    • No Aspirin, Niacin, Tylenol, Excedrin, Advil or Ibuprofen

  • 2 Weeks Prior to Appointment

    • No waxing, tweezing, threading or lamination 

    • Avoid tanning bed and sunbathing

    • Avoid biotin, multivitamin,  fish oil and vitamin E

    • Avoid nutritional shakes (these can contain vitamins and minerals)

  • 6 Weeks + Prior to Appointment

    • Avoid Retinol, Retin-a, Glycolic Acid, AHA (alpha hydroxy acid), BHA (beta hydroxy acid), Vitamin C serums and creams 

    • No Botox or Filler 2 months prior to appointment (the more movement your brows have the better. This will ensure that your brows will be even when your muscles are relaxed)

    • No Chemical peels, brightening treatments, microdermabrasion, microneedling or laser treatments.

PLEASE NOTE: If you have any upcoming vacations, weddings or events, please plan accordingly. Clients are recommended to seek treatment 3-4 months prior to allow for a touch up if needed at an additional cost. 

POST CARE

  • Blot your brows with tissue once an hour for 24 hours. (Make sure you are using enough pressure to see something on the tissue.)

  • Wash your brows with a gentle cleanser (Cetaphil) and water going in the direction of hair. Rinse and pat dry. (continue 1-2 times a day for 7 days)

  • Once your brows are dry apply a small amount of the after care ointment given to you. (continue 1-2 times a day for 7 days).

  • Do not pick, rub or scratch your brows. (Scabbing is natural, please allow for it to fall off on its own)

  • No exercising for 10 days

  • No hot showers or sweating for 10 days

  • No spray tans, tweezing, threading, waxing, eyelashes extensions, makeup near the brows for 2 weeks.

  • No steam rooms, hot tubs, swimming pools, soaking in the tub for 4 weeks

  • No tanning beds, sunbathing for 4 weeks (if you have a vacation coming up please plan accordingly)

  • Avoid skincare near the brows for 4 weeks. Once healed apply Vaseline to help protect them from premature fading or altering the color of the tattoo.

  • No Chemical peels, brightening treatments, microdermabrasion, microneedling or laser treatments for 8 weeks after treatment.
